henan xlx ranked top amonganthracite-based synthetic ammonia producers in terms of energy efficiency, asit only consumed energy of 1,079 kg standard coal equivalent and electricity of1,059 kwh per unit of ammonia produced. being chosen as the mostenergy-efficient enterprise using fixed-bed technology in 2016, it has claimed thetitle for sixth consecutive year. meanwhile, henan xlx also outperformed allother bituminous coal-based (including lignite) synthetic ammonia producers, asit only consumed energy of 1,225 kg standard coal equivalent and electricity of396 kwh per unit of ammonia produced. it became the most energy-efficient producerusing new coal gasification technology and outstripped all other competitorsusing coal-water slurry technology in energy efficiency for the first time.

the company is building acompound fertilizer plant with annual capacity of 300,000 tons in jiujiangcity, jiangxi province. upon completion, its aggregate compound fertilizerproduction capacity will increase to 2.15 million tons. besides, the secondmelamine plant with annual capacity of 60,000 tons and related facilities atits xinjiang production base are under development. the board of directorsbelieve that upon completion of these newly-added facilities, the company willpossess richer resources and achieve greater economies of scale. this will notonly alleviate the pressure on urea (the feedstock of melamine) sales, but alsoenables us to further increase the market share of our melamine products andour overall profitability.”
